Furulid School is an upper secondary school (grades 7-9) with approximately 260 students, providing the opportunity to see every student and work closely together in daily life. We are an engaged faculty, and you will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the school's ongoing development work. We value collaboration, clear structure, and shared responsibility for students' development, both academically and socially.

We are now looking for a Special Pedagogue who wants to take a central and strategic role in the school's continued development.

About the role as Special Pedagogue

As a Special Pedagogue at Furulid School, you are a key person in the school's organization. You are part of the school leadership and a natural member of the school's student health team, where you contribute special pedagogical competence at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

The assignment involves:

  • Working preventively and promotively to create accessible learning environments
  • Supporting and mentoring teachers in the work with extra adaptations and special support
  • Contributing to the school's systematic quality work
  • Participating in investigations, analyses, and follow-ups of students' need for support
  • Collaborating closely with school leadership, student health services, guardians, and external actors

You are expected to work both strategically and operationally, with the best interests of the student in focus and a holistic perspective on the school's mission.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree in Special Pedagogy
  • Has a teaching license and experience working within the compulsory school system
  • Has good knowledge of the school's governing documents and special pedagogical work

You are secure and clear in your professional role and:

  • Have a good ability to analyze learning environments and teaching
  • Work in a structured, solution-focused, and relationship-building manner
  • Find it easy to collaborate and create trusting relationships
  • Actively contribute to the school's development and a positive work environment
